Since 2012 Ultra Music Festival has taken place in Miami’s Bayfront Park. Now, it’s future looks unclear and it’s not sure were the Festival will take place the following years.
The discussion comes following a campaign for daily access to the Bayfront Park for residents of Downtown Miami and it’s neighboring communities for the reason that the Bayfront Park has been closed to the public or in a state of disrepair for over 100 days because of mega-concerts like Ultra. So the Miami Downtown Neighbors Alliance started the Change.org petition where they collected more than 1100 signatures against events at the Bayfront Park with the slogan “Bayfront Park is for the enjoyment of residents, not a cash cow for the city!”
While this petition isn’t new to the city of Miami, Miami has been placing more discussions of what’s to come in the future for music festivals in the city.
Stay tuned for more news about Ultra Music Festival 2018.
